Now retired, I am able to spend even more time exploring and experimenting with cloth, paper, stitch, paint and with as many new techniques as possible. This is my dream finally being realised, and something that has been simmering on the back burner for many years.
I studied Fashion during the late 60's at The Berkshire College of Art, and worked in various fashion houses in the West End of London. |
Later, while at home as a full time wife and Mum, I continued to sew, mainly clothes for myself and the family, and also enjoyed sketching and painting, and have always kept sketchbooks.
For 23 years, I worked in the Art Department of a local school which was an absolute privilege, keeping me up to date and informed with the wider world of art . Over the years both this and my love of stitch have come together, and examples of the textiles I now produce can be seen here. I hope you will enjoy browsing, and thank you for visiting. |
